SANDPIT COVER
Mr H of Grimston Landscapes contacted The Tarpaulin Company with a request for a sandpit cover, which he was designing for a local school.
With our vast experience building this type of cover, Mr H was happy to take our advice on the type of material, fixing method & sizing of the ‘drop’.
We opted for a dark green 900GSM PVC Vinyl material (heavy duty) with a neat 10cm drop to all 4 sides, allowing 100% coverage of the pit.
We also suggested that the tarpaulin be secured via elastic bungee cord hooped under plastic ‘bobbins’. Our extremely narrow ‘bobbins’ are perfect for children’s areas and offer the most protection from accidental injury. This was a major bonus for the school.
