We were contacted via email from Mr B with a request for a solution to his problem. Here is his enquiry:

“I have a handmade wooden storage unit which which will house a pond filter. It is currently open to the elements. Can you produce a tarpaulin for the front which will protect from wind and rain, but also be easily opened / removed to allow easy access?”

Fear not, we had a solution for Mr B in the way of ‘turn staples/locks’. Supplied in plastic (stainless steel also available), the turn staple allows the tarpaulin to be easily secured by twisting 90° and locking the tarpaulin into place. The tarpaulin is locked into position because we installed oval-shaped eyelets to match the shape of the turn staple.

We supplied aluminium beading to secure Mr B’s tarpaulin to the top of the opening. Roll-Up clips were also installed to secure the tarpaulin when unconnected from the turn staples. By matching the position of the turn staple to the oval eyelet, it means the tarpaulin can be un-rolled and secured in a matter of seconds.
