The Tarpaulin Co. is a brand formerly run under I&M Tarpaulins Ltd, which stretches back to the 1980s and its origins of manufacturing tarpaulins for farm trailers.

HARSH Ltd acquired I&M Tarpaulins Ltd in March 2018, relocating the tarpaulin production into its existing tarpaulin site at Full Sutton, York. By merging two experienced teams headed by Mark Britton, former owner of I&M Tarpaulins Ltd and now Tarpaulin Manager at HARSH, it has been able to grow product offerings and approach new markets. This cumulated in the resurrection of the Tarpaulin Co. brand with a new website and a purpose to offer custom build  ‘design-a-tarp’ services along with a ‘buy now’ shop. Reaching out to end user customers in Domestic, Commercial or Industrial environments.
